Panic for potty?

Stef has been doing wonderfully with potty training; no daytime accidents for weeks now. Sometimes she gets positively panicky about having to go. "I got to go potty!! I don't want to pee my panties!!!" I kind of like that it's so important to her, but then again almost think something is wrong, like somebody yelled at her about peeing her panties (nobody that lives in our house). Last night, just as I was ready to leave her room and go to my own bed, she started crying really hard and sort of acting like she was trying to get away from something. She wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I just did my best to comfort her until she went back to sleep. Then I noticed her nighttime pullup was squishy. I'm thinking she had to pee but couldn't wake herself up quite enough to get up and go, but was also panicked about peeing her panties. She even mentioned this morning that she peed her panties. I told her it was her night time panties and it's okay because she's still learning and to try again next time.

Anybody else seeing panic potty attacks?

Logan has NO problem wetting his diaper or pull up or underware for that matter, just dosent seem bothered by it.

Rebecca will wake up 50% of the time to pee and sometimes crying cause she has to pee. 50% of the time she doesn't wake up. I just acknowledged it and move on. Not ready to deal with wet sheets yet.

But what about while she's awake Linda? Any panic?

Emma's still FT in pull ups. I need to start working with her big time this summer. I've been really lazy.

I'd ask your MIL if she fussed at Stef for having an accident. I would just come right out and ask her. Older generations have totally different ideas of how to potty train than we do.

I am just letting Emma have fun being a kid and figuring when she's ready (better be before September!) she'll let me know.

Ella will sometimes get that look on her face and sprint to the bathroom. As for nighttime, she has a bladder of steel and just holds it. I agree that someone may have gotten onto her about it sometime and she took it to heart.
